Neck Fat Removal

VelaShape II is a non-invasive contouring treatment that slims and shapes the body by reducing circumference and improving cellulite production. VelaShape II combines infrared (IR), bi-polar radiofrequency, and vacuum technologies to promote cellular metabolism, lymphatic drainage, circulation, and collagen production by heating fat cells (adipocytes).

All these measures help in reducing skin laxity by enhancing skin appearance. VelaShape II helps in achieving a contoured, toned and well-shaped body and neck in three typical treatment sessions. There is a single treatment protocol available as well. You can feel more youthful with dramatic results and zero downtime or discomfort.

Choose an experienced treatment provider with dedicated expertise and advanced technologies for your procedure. Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards provides non-surgical neck fat reduction treatments to patients in Las Vegas, NV, and surrounding communities.

Understanding VelaShape II

VelaShape II fat reduction is a body contouring treatment that reduces cellulite and circumference in a non-invasive manner. It enables you to achieve a contoured, toned, and well-shaped body in three typical treatment sessions. Patients enjoy dramatic improvements in their body with combined infrared (IR), bi-polar radiofrequency, and vacuum technology. There is no significant discomfort or downtime associated with the technology.

Technology behind VelaShape II

VelaShape II technology is a unique combination of bi-polar radio frequency energy, infrared light, and vacuum for heating fat cells in the deeper skin layers. It surrounds connective tissue and underlying dermal collagen fibers. New and better elastin and collagen growth is stimulated with the device. This results in the reduction of body volume, skin laxity while improving the overall appearance of skin texture and structure.

Ideal Candidacy for VelaShape II

VelaShape II provides gradual and cumulative results. It should not be confused with weight loss treatments. It uses a combination of revolutionary technologies for contouring the body and reducing stubborn spots where exercise and diet cannot reach.

Ideal VelaShape II candidate would be someone with a Body Mass Index of less than 30. People falling under the Nurnberger-Muller Cellulite Classification Stage 1 and 2 are usually recommended to undergo this treatment.

How Does VelaShape II Work?

VelaShape II technology combines bi-polar radio frequency energy, infrared light, and vacuum to heat fat cells at the deeper layers. It also heats underlying dermal collagen fibers and surrounding connective tissue. Growth of new and better elastin and collagen is stimulated with this type of efficient vacuuming and heating. The results are localized reduction in body volume, skin laxity, and an overall improvement in the appearance of skin texture and structure.

VelaShape II Requires Zero Downtime

VelaShape treatment sessions have zero recovery time associated with them. Patients can return to normal activity after the procedure. However, few patients experience mild side effects such as bruising and redness that is temporary in nature.

After care instructions:

  • Avoid sugars and refined carbs
  • Drink 8 or more glasses of water
  • Engage in 30 minutes of cardio
  • Eat lean proteins, whole grains, and fruits and vegetables
  • Limit caffeine, alcohol, and salt

Ideal candidate for VelaShape II would have a stable body weight and be in general good health with no skin irritations in the target area. Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards receives patients from Las Vegas, NV, and nearby areas for non-surgical treatments to reduce excess neck fat deposits.

Cellulite Reduction

VelaShape II is an FDA approved procedure for reducing the appearance of cellulite, and abdominal and thigh circumference temporarily. The device combines Infrared Light Energy and Bi-Polar Radiofrequency (RF) in a revolutionary new way to treat stubborn cellulite. It also helps in restoring smoother and youthful appearing skin. VelaShape II delivers precise heating to ensure effective and fast results in a safe manner with zero downtime.

The treatment increases the metabolism of stored energy and improves lymphatic drainage. It helps in removing or shrinking the size of actual cellulite or fat cells. Talk to your surgeon about the pros and cons of different non-surgical treatment options and how they will fare in comparison to a surgery. Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards provides advanced procedures for cellulite reduction to patients in Las Vegas, NV, and surrounding locations.

VelaShape II Procedure

Cellulite is a result of rigid, fibrotic strands called septae. It pulls the skin down to accentuate fat pockets by creating visible dimpling in the skin. Cellulite tends to mostly affect women. It has no relation to the level of fitness or exercise routine followed by the individual. Regular exercise and healthy diet can help in lessening the appearance of cellulite. However, it doesn’t help with septae that pulls the skin downwards.

VelaShape II is an improved version of VelaSmooth which allows for collagen production, fat reduction and softening of septae fibers to improve body contours.

The patient will comfortably lie on the table during treatment. The treatment provider will use the VelaShape II handpiece for delivering radiofrequency and infrared energy. At the same time, the skin will be massaged and vaccumed as well. Heat energy helps in breaking down and melting fat cells while the mechanical massage stimulates the lyumphatic system by encouraging blood flow.

Results are usually seen within 4 – 6 treatments as collagen production increases and smoothens the skin texture. You would need maintenance treatments every 3 months.

Understanding the Nurnberger-Muller Cellulite Classification Scale

Stage 1

Zero dimpling while lying down or standing. However, “orange peel” dimpling is revealed in the pinch test.

Stage 2

“Orange peel” appearance is spontaneous when standing up. However, it doesn’t occur when lying down.

Stage 3

“Orange peel” appearance is spontaneous when lying down and standing up.

Benefits of VelaShape II

  • Smoothens skin after pregnancy or weight loss
  • Reduces cellulite appearance
  • Tones and reshapes loose skin
  • Requires zero downtime

What to Expect During the Treatment

You would need the targeted area to be free from any long hair. It is best to shave the area before treatment. Avoid using any drugs, such as gingko biloba, vitamin E, aspiring, or fish oil for at least two days before and after the treatment. You should also avoid using moisturizer and lotion in the treatment area before the appointment.

It is important that you drink lots of water and stay hydrated for at least 2 – 3 days before and after the treatment. VelaShape II breaks down fat cells and your body needs that excess water to excrete the waste cells. Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards receives patients from Las Vegas, NV, and nearby areas for non-surgical treatments to reduce stubborn cellulite appearance.

Laser Scar Treatment

People suffering from surgical scars, acne scars, and injury scars tend to wonder whether laser surgery can remove scars. The good news is that most types of scars can indeed be reduced or removed through laser therapy. In addition, laser scar removal is completely non-surgical in nature and does not involve any needles, cuts, incisions, or medications.

The treatment is effective and safe. It can help minimize facial scar and mitigate any pain or itching associated with it. Laser therapy can also be used for preventing scar formation after other types of surgeries. There are virtually zero post-procedure complications associated with mild laser therapy for reducing cosmetic scars. The treatment can be safely performed in the treatment provider’s office.

At your initial consultation, your surgeon will educate you about your best non-surgical treatment options and help you make a good decision. Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards provides skin resurfacing procedures for scar reduction to patients in Las Vegas, NV, and surrounding locations.

Laser Scar Removal is Effective

Laser scar treatment doesn’t eliminate scar formation completely. This is especially true for deep scar formations or old scar tissues. However, the therapy can make visible scars appear less noticeable. Controlled laser beams are used to penetrate the topmost skin layers where the scar is present. Cellular regeneration is promoted in the deeper skin layers by heat therapy, which results in the formation of new and healthy skin.

New skin grows into place as laser removes damaged superficial layers of skin in a gentle yet effective manner. The process results in the scar fading away. Laser scar removal procedure apart from using the benefits of heat energy also triggers the body’s self-healing mechanism. It helps in repairing damaged or broken skin areas.

Deeper skin tissues benefit from natural collagen generation, which helps to add volume to the face and smooth out the skin. Your skin will appear rejuvenated with deeper scars filled completely. Few dermatologists use laser therapy to reduce the reddish appearance of blood vessels in the scar tissue.

Scar Treatment with Customized Laser Therapy

Depending on the severity, age and type of the scars, your laser treatment provider will customize the most suitable plan. They will determine specific wavelengths of light that best matches your needs.

Your skin’s range of motion will improve with the right laser treatment. It will also help in lessening the appearance of scar tissue to create a more natural and smoother looking skin.

Common Scar Types Treated with Lasers

Laser scar removal can be performed to treat both deep layer and superficial scar formations. More intensive laser treatment is required in the case of deep scar formations. You will also need considerably more time during post-procedural recovery.

Laser therapy may be recommended by your medical spa treatment provider for the following scar types:

  • Surgical scars
  • Acne scars
  • Injury scars
  • Burn scars

A proven surgeon will take your aesthetic goals and skin condition into consideration before combining laser therapy with other non-surgical procedures, such as dermal filler injections. Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards receives patients from Las Vegas, NV, and nearby areas for skin resurfacing treatments for scar improvement.

Reduce Large Pores

Large pores are a common issue experienced by many individuals. Large pores tend to make the skin texture uneven and rough. They are especially problematic for acne-prone skin since larger skin pores tend to get inflamed and clogged more often.

Small pores are generally equated with beautiful complexion. Many people covet barely visible pores since they give the skin a smooth, gorgeous, and flawless look. In addition, small pores help with makeup application. Clear + Brilliant is a revolutionary new treatment that takes skin care to the next level. It not only addresses skin problems, but also helps you prevent the various signs of aging.

During your pre-op consultation, discuss the potential benefits and limitations of the non-surgical treatment options available with your surgeon. Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards provides skin resurfacing procedures for the reduction of enlarged pores to patients in Las Vegas, NV, and surrounding communities.

Advantages of Clear + Brilliant

Most people experience a visibly renewed and illuminated skin tone. They marvel the smooth and ultra-soft texture of their skin. They also like the naturally glowing and radiant skin texture. You can enjoy improved skin tone, radiance, and texture with Clear + Brilliant in addition to reducing the appearance of enlarged pores.

Other benefits of the treatment include:

  • It is fast, comfortable, affordable, and effective
  • There is zero downtime
  • It is safe for all types of skin

Suitable Candidates for Clear + Brilliant

Suitable candidates should need help with:

  • Enlarged pores
  • Fine lines on cheeks
  • Superficial lines around the mouth and eyes
  • Superficial brown age spots
  • Rough skin texture

Clear + Brilliant treatment works on all skin tones and types. But, it shows especially great results on younger patients who want to proactively control the various signs of aging. This is because the treatment boosts skin tone and encourages new collagen growth. It also shrinks pores and helps in smoothing out the texture.

Clear + Brilliant Technology

This is a non-invasive dioxide laser which refreshes the skin from the inside out. It requires minimal recovery time and has low risk of complications. Post procedural redness and swelling shall disappear within a day or two. The treated area tends to feel rough, which goes away within 4 to 5 days.

There are two treatment options:

  • 1440-nanometer wavelength laser reduced fine lines, diminishes pore size, and improves skin texture
  • 1927-nanometer wavelength laser treats various pigmentation issues, such as sun spots, melisma, and other types of sun damage

Clear + Brilliant laser treatment creates millions of treatment zones at the microscopic level to replace damaged skin. Additional treatments only add to the improvements in skin texture.

Expected Results

Clear + Brilliant can help treat enlarged pores effectively as long as you get sessions every 3 to 4 weeks. You would need a minimum of 2 to 6 treatments for visible results depending on your aesthetic goals. Each treatment session takes about 30 minutes and most patients notice a visible difference right after the very first treatment.

You should expect refreshed and recharged skin with an even tone. Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards receives patients from Las Vegas, NV, and nearby areas for skin resurfacing treatments for enlarged pores reduction.

Sun Damage Treatment

Skin resurfacing treatments are an ideal first step towards reversing skin pigmentation because of sun damage with zero recovery and down time. Photorejuvenation makes use of IPL (intense pulse light) for targeting and reducing the signs of sun damage. It can also be used for reducing broken capillaries, treating rosacea, and stimulating collagen. IPL yields rapid results and allows patients to resume their regular routine quickly.

At your pre-op consultation, feel free to ask the pros and cons of different treatment options from your surgeon and make a well-informed choice. Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards provides skin resurfacing procedures for correcting sun damage to patients in Las Vegas, NV, and surrounding locations.

Skin Conditions Treated

Following skin conditions can be treated with IPL:

  • Sun damage
  • Brown spots
  • Age spots
  • Flushing
  • Redness
  • Skin texture
  • Broken capillaries

Intense Pulsed Light Technology

Intense pulsed light (IPL) is a form of advanced light therapy which targets excessive pigment in the skin. This includes the brown and red spots or darker pigment areas in the skin. It can also include sun damaged skin and freckles. IPL photofacial can be used for reducing the appearance of pigment imperfections on the hands, face, chest, and neck.

The technology behind the photofacial involves using multiple wavelengths of light energy to penetrate deep inside the skin’s surface for breaking up melanin cells. The pigment on the skin’s surface disperses into fine spots and gradually begins flaking off to expose youthful looking complexion and even skin tone.

Healthier and radiant skin tone can be revealed by a series of IPL photofacial.

Non-Invasive Skin Treatment

IPL photofacial is a powerful skin treatment, even though it is non-invasive. The treatment is also non-ablative, which means it is gentle and safe. The procedure doesn’t remove the top layer of the skin as other laser skin rejuvenation procedures.

Patients often feel a warming sensation during the treatment for repairing summer sun damage. The IPL photofacial handpiece sends quick bursts of light waves that penetrate the skin in rapid succession. Many people compare the feeling with that of the snapping of a rubber band. The sensation is not painful, but may cause mild discomfort.

Your medical aesthetic professional will offer to apply a cooling gel if you are concerned about your discomfort. IPL photofacial, depending on the target area, can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour.

IPL Photofacial for Fine Lines, Blotchy Skin and Large Pores

Your skin may appear blotchy after a summer soaking in the sun, even if you had sunscreen on. It is possible for you to get enlarged pores as well or a few more wrinkles and fine lines. IPL photofacial treatment can target these enlarged pores and blotchiness. It can also help improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with zero downtime.

Light waves will penetrate below the skin’s surface during an IPL photofacial to break up dark spots. The light waves shall also encourage collagen production for smoother and firmer skin over time. Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards receives patients from Las Vegas, NV, and nearby areas for skin resurfacing treatments to improve sun damage.

Aging Skin Laser Treatment

Acne, aging, and sun damage can leave wrinkles, scars, and abnormal pigmentation which can make you look older than you actually are. Laser skin resurfacing procedures can help in reducing the appearance of imperfections by removing the topmost superficial layers of the skin. The treatment also encourages collagen production.

Laser skin resurfacing is effective, safe, and convenient. Also called laser peel, the procedure removes the damaged and aging outer layers of skin. New skin cells are promoted in the underlying layers, which brings about younger, smoother, and healthier looking skin.

During your initial consultation, your surgeon will explain the best non-surgical skin resurfacing treatment options to meet your aesthetic goals. Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards provides anti-aging skin resurfacing procedures to patients in Las Vegas, NV, and surrounding communities.

Improved Confidence with Beautiful Skin

Minimally-invasive Treatment

Laser skin resurfacing is far less invasive as compared to surgical treatments, such as facelifts. The treatment requires zero downtime.

Youthful-looking Skin

Your skin will appear healthier once you have healed. The treatment tightens skin and restores its youthful definition.

Self-Esteem

Your face is the most prominent aspect of your entire body. Damage and blemishes can make you feel self-conscious. The results of laser resurfacing are dramatic enough to boost your self-esteem.

Suitable Candidates

It is important to understand that laser resurfacing doesn’t perfect features, but improves upon them. You could be an ideal candidate if you want to improve the appearance of:

  • Acne scars
  • Wrinkles and fine lines around the mouth, brow, and eyes
  • Abnormal pigmentation
  • Minor sagging

You should not undergo laser skin resurfacing if you:

  • Suffer from fever blisters or cold sores
  • Have a darker skin tone, which can result in pigmentation issues later on
  • Use Accutane
  • Have excessively lax skin
  • Have deep wrinkles
  • Suffer from rosacea or psoriasis

Laser Skin Resurfacing with Erbium Lasers

Erbium lasers are useful in removing the thinner outermost layers of the skin. CO2 lasers are more powerful but less precise than Erbium lasers. They are often used on patients with darker skin because risk of permanent skin pigmentation and changes is lower. In addition, the procedure has a shorter healing time and recommended for people with generally healthy skin who want to improve the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Laser Skin Resurfacing Procedure

The procedure doesn’t take more than an hour if only one area is being treated. It can take up to two hours for the whole face and can be uncomfortable. Your doctor will use local anesthesia and apply bandages to your face.

General anesthesia is used for more extensive procedures. Experienced cosmetic surgeons will be able to determine with accuracy the extent of treatment required by a particular patient. They will also know the type of anesthesia to deliver for minimizing discomfort.

The surgeon will use a specialized laser for performing the skin resurfacing procedure once the anesthesia is delivered. The outer skin layers will be vaporized using a precise and controlled beam of light. This will reveal youthful looking, smoother skin underneath. Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards receives patients from Las Vegas, NV, and nearby areas for anti-aging skin resurfacing treatments.

Non-Surgical Facelift

An increasing number of people are realizing the benefits of attaining a non-surgical facelift. This procedure can do wonders on people that want to look rested and youthful without undergoing the knife. The only drawback is that the results of this treatment tend to wear off because it is non-invasive.

During your pre-op consultation, your treatment provider will explain what is involved in a non-surgical facelift and the amount of time you can expect the results to last. Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards provides non-surgical facelift treatments to patients in Las Vegas, NV, and surrounding locations.

What Does Non-Surgical Facelift Involve?

Your cosmetic surgeon may recommend this procedure for you if you want to do something about your small lines, wrinkles, or crow’s feet without getting a full facelift. You should understand that the right treatment can go a long way in “erasing” small lines and creases. Hence, it is important that you always get this treatment at the hands of a professional and trained plastic surgeon.

You don’t need to undergo an invasive plastic surgery when you have injectables that can get you the same kinds of results. These are a few injectable treatments used during non-surgical facelifts:

Botox

This is a common treatment for reducing wrinkles. Botox helps in paralyzing muscles responsible for skin contraction. However, effects are only temporary.

Restylane

This is a popular dermal filler injection which is helpful in reducing wrinkles. It can also be used for enhancing lips.

Kybella

This is a uniquely innovative, FDA approved injectable product helpful in reducing double chin.

Juvederm

This dermal filler has received FDA approval for cosmetic reduction of facial wrinkles. It is also useful on various types of scars.

Sculptra

Sculptra injectables are used to activate and stimulate production of collagen naturally in the body.

There are several other injectables that your doctor may prescribe, such as Artefill, Belotero, Radiesse, and others.

Common Treatment Areas

Non-surgical facelift can target the following areas:

  • Cheeks
  • Temples
  • Eyebrows and forehead
  • Corners of the mouth
  • Lips
  • Nasolabial folds

How Long Do Results Last?

This depends on the type and quality of products chosen for the procedure. You need to understand that non-surgical facelift doesn’t bring the same results as a cosmetic surgery. All injectables are slowly but surely eliminated by the body overtime. Your results may last anywhere from 3 to 12 months depending on the injectable used.

Results tend to last longer if the product is comprised of hyaluronic acid (HA). This is because HA is a naturally occurring substance in the body and doesn’t get eliminated quickly. Results are shorter for animal-based substances. This is how long different injectable products last:

  • Botox can last for about 4 months
  • Restylane usually gets removed after 9 months
  • Juvederm will continue to offer results for up to 12 months
  • Kybella injections are usually permanent
  • Sculptra may last for two years

You can always get touch-ups or repeat treatments to enjoy long lasting benefits. Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards receives patients from Las Vegas, NV, and nearby areas for non-surgical facelift procedures.

Dermabrasion vs. Microdermabrasion

Dermabrasion and microdermabrasion are two highly sought after cosmetic procedures. These may be more effective than filler injections, skin peels, and laser cosmetic surgery for some patients to rejuvenate facial skin. Your plastic surgeon will create micro-wounds in the skin in a controlled manner using an abrasion tool in dermabrasion. This will result in a noticeable change in the appearance of your skin. The procedure works well on scarred and aging skin.

Your cosmetic surgeon may recommend dermabrasion only for your face. However, it can be performed on other parts of the body as well. It is important that you get this advanced procedure performed by a trained and qualified professional.

Microdermabrasion, on the other hand, is a skin rejuvenation technique. This usually involves an abrasive tool or a vacuum suction to remove the topmost layer of the skin. Anesthesia or sedatives are not required in microdermabrasion. This is because the painless procedure doesn’t involve penetrating deeper skin layers.

Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards provides dermabrasion and microdermabrasion treatments to patients in Las Vegas, NV, and surrounding communities.

Ideal Candidate for Dermabrasion and Microdermabrasion

Dermabrasion tends to create wounds by working on deeper skin layers. New skin that comes upon wound healing is of a better quality. Your surgeon may recommend this procedure if you want to remove or reduce scars from acne or trauma, wrinkles, enlarged and red nose (rhinophyma), tattoos, and actinic keratosis.

Conversely, microdermabrasion works on the most superficial skin layer called the stratum corneum. This layer contains dead cells making the non-invasive cosmetic surgery procedure safe for the most sensitive skins. However, microdermabrasion is not recommended for people that have active skin diseases, infections, or acne.

What Is Involved in the Procedures?

Your cosmetic surgeon will administer local anesthesia before performing dermabrasion. They will apply an abrasive device on the targeted area once your skin is numb. The abrasive tool has a rotating wire wheel or brush that is encrusted with an abrasive screen or crystals.

Depending on the skin area, the surgeon will choose the type of dermabrasion device to use. They may prevent the skin from moving during the treatment by spraying a refrigerant. The skill and expertise of a surgeon plays a large role in determining results.

The surgeon will forcefully spray an inert crystalline material on the skin during microdermabrasion. In some cases, microdermabrasion also involves forceful rubbing of the skin using a crystal impregnated wand. This is done to exfoliate the topmost skin layer without penetrating the deeper layers. You may experience inflammation, but the swelling is only temporary.

Duration and Process of Recovery

Dermabrasion wounds need to be daily treated with moist dressings. Healing can take anywhere from 7 – 10 days. Redness will remain till about 6 weeks in case of dermabrasion. Microdermabrasion, on the other hand, does not cause any wounds or post-operative care. Swelling and redness are mild, lasting only for a short while.

Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards receives patients from Las Vegas, NV, and nearby areas for dermabrasion and microdermabrasion skin care procedures.

Skin Resurfacing Treatments

As you age, it gets increasingly harder to avoid fine lines and blemishes on the face, with the skin becoming lackluster and dull. Chemical peels or microdermabrasion are proven solutions for your skin, but sometimes these procedures may not deliver the kind of cosmetic skin rejuvenation you are looking for.

NanoLaserPeel and MicroLaserPeel are cutting-edge solutions to enhance your skin texture, tone and color. During your initial consultation, your cosmetic expert will determine your candidacy and recommend one of these treatments as needed. Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards provides advanced skin resurfacing treatments to patients in Las Vegas, NV and surrounding locations.

Customizable Treatments

NanoLaserPeel and MicroLaserPeel are both highly customizable cosmetic laser peels. Depending on your skin condition and your personal goals, your provider will determine the precise treatment intensity you require. This will impact your results as well as the downtime involved.

Even if you choose MicroLaserPeel of the highest strength, your downtime will be less than a week because the treatment essentially works on relatively shallow skin depths. The intensity of this laser peel can range between 10 and 30 microns.

When this treatment is performed at a low intensity level of 4 to 10 microns, it is called a NanoLaserPeel. The downtime involved with this treatment will be about one to three days. Results with NanoLaserPeel will be nearly equivalent to four microdermabrasion treatments performed all at once.

You can choose MicroLaserPeel and NanoLaserPeel as a series of intensive treatments or use them as your periodic skin maintenance program every quarter.

How do these Treatments Work?

Whether you choose NanoLaserPeel or the more intensive MicroLaserPeel treatment, the science behind it remains the same. In both these treatments, your provider will scan your affected areas with a laser beam to precisely vaporize (ablate) an ultra thin layer of skin from the top.

That will help you get rid of old, damaged tissue. The old cells, which have been contributing to your aged, tired look, pigment irregularities and superficial skin blemishes, will be eliminated with the treatment.

Light Skin Resurfacing with Laser Peels

Both MicroLaserPeel and NanoLaserPeel are fast and effective treatments. These are completely safe because the skin resurfacing is only superficial in both cases. You may compare its intensity to about two to four times that of a microdermabrasion session.

Your face and neck are the more commonly treated areas, but you may also consider these procedures to rejuvenate the skin in your chest and the back of your hands. A single treatment session will only last for about 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the area size.

The following skin conditions are best resolved with these laser peels:

  • Mild wrinkles and fine lines
  • Certain types of acne scars
  • Actinic Keratoses
  • Brown spots and sun damage
  • Pigmentation irregularities

Results

You will have noticeable improvement in your skin texture, tone and evenness of skin color in about a week after the procedure as your skin heals. With MicroLaserPeel, you may be able to achieve your desired outcomes with just one treatment. But with NanoLaserPeel, you may require multiple treatments for best results.

Radiesse Dermal Filler

Nasolabial folds, commonly known as laugh lines, occur with age as the facial skin begins to sag. With the loss of natural collagen and elastin fibers in the skin, the underlying tissue disintegrates causing the skin to lose its youthful tone.

This condition can be effectively corrected with Radiesse dermal filler injections, which will fill these conspicuous lines and restore a smoother, younger looking face. Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards provides Radiesse facial filler to patients in Las Vegas, NV and surrounding locations.

How does Radiesse Filler Work?

The active ingredient in Radiesse filler gel is calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA). This compound is present in the form of microspheres, which are suspended in an aqueous gel carrier. Your treatment provider will directly inject this gel precisely into the targeted sites to fill out and eliminate laugh lines from your face.

Radiesse dermal filler injection will combat the laugh lines in two ways. At first, the smooth gel will almost instantly plump the facial site (between the nose and mouth) when the injection is placed underneath the nasolabial crease or fold. That is the first phase of the Radiesse function, which creates near instant results.

The second phase occurs over several weeks and months as the CaHA microspheres trigger the production of fresh collagen fibers in the injected areas. This will cause volumizing and firming up of your facial skin from within. New collagen will create more natural looking and sustainable results that could last for up to two years.

This is where Radiesse filler differentiates itself from many other dermal fillers, which only perform the filling function and thus produce relatively less sustainable results. In case of Radiesse, new collagen formation occurs, which will continue to work even after the gel and the microspheres have been absorbed in your skin.

Facial Areas that are Rejuvenated with Radiesse

Radiesse is a powerful volumizing filler which will work well on deeper wrinkles and lines, such as laugh lines. It can also be used for a few other facial anti-aging purposes very effectively. These include:

Laugh Lines

These are the lines or nasolabial folds that run from your nose down to far corners of your mouth. Loss of skin elasticity and volume that comes with aging leads to laugh lines. Radiesse is a proven FDA approved dermal filler injection to treat this condition.

Marionette Lines

The facial lines run vertically downward from the corner of your mouth, and can create an effect of a dull, tired or sad look, even though you may actually be cheerful. Radiesse will successfully eliminate these unwanted facial lines.

Oral Commissures

Oral commissures are the corners of your mouth, which can turn downward due to the effects of aging. This condition can occur as your face loses volume, and it can make you appear angry or frowning. Choose Radiesse filler gel to reduce or remove these conspicuous aging signs.

Pre-jowl areas on either side of your chin can become hollow if other parts of your lower face are sagging. This condition can also cause visible wrinkles in your chin. Radiesse dermal filler can help you get rid of these undesirable effects.
