Get Rid of Age Spots, Freckles, and Acne With BBL | Broadband Light TherapyYour face is the first thing that people notice. But it is also the primary area of your body that gives away your age quite easily. This could be good or bad depending on your appearance.

Harsh cleaning agents, aging effects, and sun damage can make facial skin appear tired and wrinkled. However, now there is a unique skin rejuvenation procedure that can mitigate the skin imperfections such as age spots, freckles and acne, and take years off your face.

BBL or Broadband Light Therapy, also called Intense Pulsed Light therapy, uses advanced technology to generate more youthful skin with a more even tone and texture. BBL involves negligible risk, discomfort, and downtime. It is a non-surgical procedure which is FDA-cleared for treating sun damage and facial aging.

Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards provides BBL therapy to patients in Las Vegas, NV and surrounding locations across the horizon.

Commonly Treated Conditions

Some conditions that are commonly treated with BBL therapy include:

  • Pigmented Lesions (e.g., freckles, age spots)
  • Uneven Skin Texture
  • Vascular Lesions (e.g., small blood vessels)
  • Skin Firmness

How does BBL work?

BBL’s light energy will mildly heat the uppermost skin layers. The heat absorbed by the treatment areas will prompt your skin cells to produce fresh collagen. This procedure will revitalize your skin to its natural beauty making it more youthful, smoother, brighter, and dazzling. Additionally, the photo-thermal energy will remove fine vessels that lead to redness as well as decreased unwanted melanin that generates pigmented lesions.

The machine has cutting-edge cooling features which allow for the use of high-powered energy with negligible discomfort.

Numbing cream is usually unnecessary, but the provider may apply it to the treatment area for patients who find the treatment uncomfortable. BBL is a safe and effective way to attain more youthful skin. It is advisable to receive the treatment 2 to 4 times annually for best outcomes.

Areas of Treatment

BBL can address the skin in any area of the body. Sites such as the face, back of the hands, shoulders, neck, and chest are most popular for this treatment due to frequent sun exposure. Areas that usually produce best results with BBL treatment are:

  • Neck
  • Face
  • Hands
  • Chest

Treatment Experience

BBL treatment is mild, non-surgical, and safe. Each patient has a different tolerance level, but typically there is no requirement for a topical anesthetic. If you feel uncomfortable during the treatment, bring this to your provider’s notice. They will provide you a numbing cream for more sensitive regions.

Preparing for the Treatment

During the initial consultation, the treatment provider will explain how to prepare for the procedure. They will meticulously review all your medical information to make sure that you have a safe and effective procedure. You will be required to avoid direct sunlight or tanning bed use for some weeks before and after the treatment.

Furthermore, you will need to avoid taking specific medications that may make you more light sensitive. Committed cosmetic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards provides BBL therapy to patients in Las Vegas, NV and nearby areas in this region of the southwest.

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) Recovery TimeTummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) Recovery Time

The extent of a tummy tuck cosmetic surgery and the surgical technique involved will determine for how long the patient needs to restrict their physical activities.

While the patient will not be confined to the bed for long (and should not be) they will have to avoid rigorous activities for a few weeks. Furthermore, special care will be required to avoid putting excessive strain on the incisions.

A patient could benefit greatly from understanding the overall process of abdominoplasty from the pre-op preparation to the recovery phase. This information can assist patients in going ahead with a tummy tuck confidently, and achieve excellent outcomes and satisfaction from this mid-section contouring surgery.

Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards provides tummy tuck surgery to patients in Las Vegas, NV, and surrounding locations in this area of the country.

Variable Recovery Time

The degree of correction performed will be the most significant determinant of the time needed for recovery post-surgery.

A mini tummy tuck or a partial abdominoplasty helps to refine the region below the navel. It usually entails an incision in between the hip bone area, making the abdominal muscles tauter, while eliminating the surplus tissue and fat. Patients can typically resume their routine after a week of restricted activities.

While a standard abdominoplasty is quite like a mini tummy tuck plastic surgery, it will also include addressing the area above the navel.

An extended tummy tuck surgery, on the other hand, will typically include liposuction in conjunction with other procedures targeting the flanks or love handles. These two major abdominoplasty surgeries may need one to two weeks of restricted activity after the surgery.

The standard and extended tummy tucks involve placing drainage pipes that assist in preventing the accumulation of blood and fluid at the location of the incisions. The surgeon may take one tube out after the initial three days of the surgery.

The remaining tubes will be removed after a few more days. Also, the surgeon will recommend a customized support garment to help prevent fluid buildup.

Meanwhile, patients must remember that they do not need to be immobilized while they heal. Instead, they should include some light activities and short walks at home in their early recovery phase. Patients can decrease the risk of the formation of blood clots with these simple and light movements. Usually, the incisions are completely healed after a period of two weeks.

Each abdominoplasty case is different, but typically patients with sedentary desk work can resume work after a week. Patients with more physically demanding jobs will need to be away from work for a minimum of 2 to 3 weeks before resuming their normal work.

Follow-up Appointments

The first follow-up appointment may be scheduled a day after the tummy tuck surgery to monitor the condition. Additional appointments will be made according to the patient’s risk factors. Stitches and drain tubes may be removed around the end of the first week. Accomplished cosmetic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards receives patients from Las Vegas, NV, and other cities and towns in this part of Nevada for tummy tuck.

What is a Mid Facelift? | Bullhead City | Vegas Plastic SurgeryAs a person ages, the facial skin will begin to lose its tone and elasticity. The mid face or the cheek area as well as area below the eyelids may tend to sag, creating a haggard look. Mid facelift cosmetic surgery can restore a youthful and smooth appearance of the cheeks and lower eyelid area.

During the initial consultation, the surgeon will carefully determine the patient’s candidacy for a mid facelift and educate them about various aspects of the procedure. Stellar, hardworking, and board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards provides mid facelift surgery to patients in Las Vegas, NV, and surrounding communities in this area of The Battle Born State.

Candidacy

Mid facelift plastic surgery is aimed at improving the areas around the nose, eyes, and corners of the mouth. Patients who seek cheek lift when the neck and areas below the chin do not require elevation can ideally benefit from this procedure. While some surgeons perform mid facelift surgery with traditional lower facelift techniques, others may recommend endoscopic facelift techniques to improve precision and recovery time.

Evaluation for Customize Surgical Plan

The surgeon will perform the following assessments to create a custom mid facelift plan:

  • Assess the mid face for asymmetries, the location of the lateral canthi, the amount of anterior and lateral projection of the cheek, and the depth of the nasolabial creases.
  • Evaluate whether the bulk of mid face volume deficit lies laterally, medially, or in the sub-malar region.
  • Determine whether facial fat transfer or cheek implants may have to be combined with mid facelift surgery.

Surgical Procedure

Following anesthesia, the surgeon will create precise incisions in the muscle tissue of the mid face. If the procedure is performed endoscopically, the surgeon will insert a tiny camera device through the incisions to view the internal structures clearly. The surgeon will then redistribute or correct the mid face fat and muscle tissue, gently pulling up the middle of the face to smooth and tighten the skin.

Once the surgery is completed, the incisions will be closed with sutures and the healing process will begin. The incisions will initially be covered with bandages. Fabulous and judicious cosmetic surgeon Dr. Richards receives patients from Las Vegas, NV, and nearby areas across the horizon for a mid facelift.

Surgical Techniques for Mid Facelift

If the surgeon chooses a traditional mid facelift technique, they will use an incision hidden in the lower lash line to gain access to the cheeks and lower eyelids. An incision in the nasolabial fold may also be made in some cases. The traditional technique is more appropriate in cases where the patient primarily needs the tissues to be lifted upward, rather than horizontally or diagonally.

The other technique involves the use of an endoscope and creates slight more dramatic results. The surgeon will perform the procedure by placing two endoscopic incisions in the temples, hidden behind the hairline. Through these access points, the surgeon will lift facial muscles and skin both vertically and diagonally.

With both types of techniques, a mid facelift can improve under-eye bags, hollowness in the upper cheeks, and prominent nasal folds.

Excess fatty tissue in the upper arms can create an unsightly appearance, and cause restrictions in arm movement as well as limit their choice of clothes. For people who want to avoid cosmetic surgery and yet achieve enhanced upper arm contours, SculpSure laser-based non-invasive procedure can provide an effective solution.

SculpSure can successfully reduce stubborn fat deposits in areas such as the lower tummy, abdomen, flanks, hips, inner and outer thighs, and upper arms. Fantastic, judicious, and board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards provides SculpSure procedure to patients in Las Vegas, NV, and surrounding cities and suburbs in this area of The Silver State.

Convenience and Comfort

Unlike plastic surgery or even several non-surgical procedures, SculpSure treatment takes very little time to achieve the desired aesthetic goals. Up to four laser applicators can be used at one time to address an area such as the upper arms. The treatment session can be completed in no more than 25 minutes.

SculpSure procedure causes no significant discomfort, and does not require even local or topical anesthetic. The patient can sit comfortably in a recliner and read a book, use the mobile phone, or just take a nap while the treatment provider addresses the targeted fatty tissue in the upper arms.

The treatment can be performed in the provider’s office. No specific downtime or recovery period is involved. A patient may even receive the upper arm fat reduction treatment during lunch hour from work, and simply go back to their workplace after the treatment session.

How does it Work?

The SculpSure applicators will release low level laser energy into the upper arm area, causing controlled heating in the targeted fat and subcutaneous tissue. The fat cells will be disrupted and will begin to melt at the raised temperatures. A unique in-built skin cooling system will help maintain the outer skin at a comfortable temperature while the fat cells are being treated.

The disrupted fat cells will gradually exit from the body through the patient’s natural metabolic system, revealing slimmer upper arm contours in a few weeks. Up to 24 percent reduction in excess fat, measuring circumference and thickness, can be achieved in the upper arms with SculpSure treatment.

Results

SculpSure treatment may be completed in one to three sessions, depending on the amount of excess fat to be removed from the upper arms and the patient’s personal cosmetic goals. Each fat reduction session will be spaced about six weeks apart. The patient will experience noticeable results within a few weeks to a few months after the treatment.

Studies have shown that more than 90 percent of treated patients achieve satisfactory results with SculpSure body sculpting treatment. Results are more natural looking and sustainable as they develop gradually from within. SculpSure procedure also promotes the production of fresh collagen and elastin fibers in the upper arm area, leading to generation of youthful and healthy tissue over time.

The patient should maintain a healthy diet and active lifestyle to extend the results of SculpSure in the long run. Profound and astute cosmetic surgeon Dr. Richards receives patients from Las Vegas, NV, and nearby areas for SculpSure upper arm fat reduction.

SculpSure is the world’s first non-invasive body contouring procedure cleared by the FDA for fat reduction in the flanks and abdomen. The procedure is ideally suited for people who want to avoid cosmetic surgery and yet achieve a slimmer and more sculpted body. During the initial consultation, the treatment provider will educate the patient about all aspects of SculpSure.

Some providers may like to present SculpSure body contouring before and after photographs before the patient. This will give a fair idea of the potential effectiveness of this treatment.

Fantastic, cutting edge, and board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards provides SculpSure non-invasive body sculpting procedure to patients in Las Vegas, NV, and surrounding communities across the horizon.

What are SculpSure Before and After Pictures?

Before and after pictures in case of SculpSure non-invasive body contouring treatment refer to a pair or group of images belonging to a past patient who has received the same procedure with successful results. The images include pictures taken prior to the procedure and after the procedure at a time when all the treatment sessions are completed and full effects of body contouring have been established.

Just like any plastic surgery procedure, the provider will ensure in case of SculpSure that the photographs are obtained with the express consent of the patient and presented before new patients in an appropriate manner. The patient’s identity may be kept confidential as per the norm. The provider’s only goal in this exercise is to use these photos as an educational aid to explain to new patients about the aesthetic benefits of SculpSure.

Advantages

SculpSure is a laser-based non-surgical body contouring procedure. A new patient may have concerns about how successfully the procedure can help eliminate unwanted fat pockets in the abdomen and flanks, or whether it will meet their personal cosmetic goals.

Some patients may only need limited fat reduction, while others may require substantive fat removal in multiple sites. In each case, the patient will be better placed to make the right choices when they have access to SculpSure before and after photos. Experienced cosmetic surgeon Dr. Richards receives patients from Las Vegas, NV, and other areas of this part of southeast Nevada for SculpSure body contouring.

What really has changed the game is digital technology which will be mentioned down below as well briefly. It just needs to be emphasized that digital technology has changed the game and the plastic surgery industry has embraced it. You can see on the website of Dr. Richards all those before and after pictures of all those procedures which helps so many patients make salient decisions without getting anyone else involved.

In the age of social media and sharing, some things should still remain private.

Keeping Realistic Expectations

In any aesthetic procedure, the best patient satisfaction levels are often achieved in cases where the patient has a positive frame of mind, clear cosmetic goals and realistic expectations. Therefore, a treatment provider may prefer to provide SculpSure before and after photos at the very outset so that the patient knows exactly what the procedure can or cannot do for them.

SculpSure is not a weight loss procedure. Patients should review as many before and after photos as possible to gain a clear perspective. Patients with realistic expectations will be able to appreciate the final outcomes in a better way and feel happy about their new sculpted figure.

Website Photos

The treatment provider may choose to provide SculpSure before and after photos on their practice website which Dr. Richards does not have right now but any patient may be able to see them during the consultation. This way new patients can conveniently access the photos even before they are ready to visit the provider’s office for a SculpSure consultation but in this case, the patient may have to call in and see the before and after pictures during the consultation.

But with all those before and after pictures on the site, any patient can detect the caliber of Dr. Richard’s work.

SculpSure is an innovative laser-based procedure designed to improve body contours through fat reduction without cosmetic surgery. During the pre-op consultation, the treatment provider will discuss all aspects of the SculpSure technology and procedure, and will also inform the estimated costs to the patient.

The first concern of a responsible provider will be to help the patient make a well-considered decision. Cost is an important aspect for patients, particularly because SculpSure will not be covered by health insurance. Remarkable, sagacious, and board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards provides SculpSure to patients in Las Vegas, NV, and surrounding locations in The Battle Born State.

Cost Comparison with Surgery

The cost of an FDA cleared SculpSure body sculpting procedure are likely to be considerably lower than that of liposuction plastic surgery. SculpSure involves no anesthesia, which means that the fee charges of anesthesiologist or a nurse anesthetist are avoided. Secondly, the procedure can be comfortably performed in the surgeon’s office, where as liposuction will involve the costs of a hospital or an accredited surgery center.

Liposuction also typically involves post-treatment expenses, including medical tests, prescription drugs, compression garments, and post-operative visits to the surgeon’s office. All these expenses are mostly avoided in case of SculpSure. Patients can immediately return to their workplace, which can also have a cost saving impact for some working people.

Price Factors

The costs of an FDA cleared SculpSure procedure can marginally vary from one practice to another and even from one patient to another at the same practice. Where the practice is located will make a difference to the actual costs of the procedure.

Practices in main metropolitan areas and prime urban centers often have to bear higher real estate expenses and other overheads compared to a practice operating in a small town in an interior region. This will influence the costs of every procedure and service offered.

The kind of personalized care, facilities and services that a practice offers, and the expertise of the treatment provider can also have an impact on the price tag to some extent. A practice headed by a board certified plastic surgeon would typically invest in high quality standards and best practices and follow the latest safety protocols.

Extent of Treatment

Some patients may only need a single treatment session of SculpSure to achieve their limited body sculpting goals in one or two areas of the body. On the other hand, some patients may require multiple sessions over several months to achieve significant fat reduction in different areas of the body. The costs between two patients can differ on this basis.

Sometimes the patient may choose to receive SculpSure procedure in conjunction with another non-surgical or surgical procedure. This could make them eligible for a rebate or a special package price.

Financing

Patients have an option to get the SculpSure procedure financed from professional medical care financing companies or other traditional sources. These professional third party financiers offer competitive interest rates, quick loan approvals and convenient monthly installments of up to 60 months for patients seeking cosmetic procedures. Amazing and dedicated cosmetic surgeon Dr. Richards receives patients from Las Vegas, NV, and other suburbs and communities for SculpSure.

SculpSure is a laser-based fat reduction procedure designed for women and men who want to avoid cosmetic surgery procedures such as liposuction.

SculpSure is suitable for various body types, and eliminates fat tissue in multiple areas at once with an average treatment session of 25 minutes. The procedure involves no incisions, no anesthesia, and little to no discomfort or downtime.

SculpSure also holds the distinction of being the world’s first FDA cleared laser treatment for non-invasive lipolysis to get rid of stubborn fat deposits in the abdomen and flanks. Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards provides SculpSure to patients in Las Vegas, NV, and surrounding communities across the landscape in this section of the southwest.

How does it Work?

SculpSure involves the use of a hands-free laser belt that delivers controlled heat energy using specific wavelengths to eliminate targeted fat cells. Upper and lower abdominal areas as well as flanks are most effectively treated for fat reduction with this procedure. People who want to avoid plastic surgery and have a body mass index of 30 or less may make ideal candidates for SculpSure if they need to enhance body contours.

The 1,060 nm wavelength works very well on the adipose tissue in affected sites. Combined with minimal absorption in the dermis, SculpSure efficiently treats areas of troublesome fat in a short procedure.

Once the unwanted fat cells are disrupted with this treatment, they will get naturally removed from the area over a few weeks. Results can be seen as early as six weeks, and optimal outcomes are established in about three months.

Procedure

During the SculpSure appointment, the patient will be seated in a comfortable, reclined position, while the treatment provider marks the areas of treatment. The SculpSure device will be wrapped around the targeted area of the body like a belt. The applicators in the device will deliver precisely controlled laser energy that is hot enough to kill fat cells under the skin, without harming the surrounding healthy tissue.

The device will alternate between delivering a heat laser and a cooling effect. A single treatment session will last for about 25 minutes. The patient can comfortably relax, read or take a nap while the procedure is in progress. Some patients may require multiple treatments, which can be scheduled in about six to 12 weeks when the results of the first treatment are firmed up.

Treatment Highlights

  • Controlled hyperthermic fat reduction
  • Consistency of adipose tissue temperature within a tolerable range
  • No damage to dermal tissue
  • Fat reduction up to 24 percent
  • Proven results in multisite clinical trials
  • Patient satisfaction rate of over 90 percent
  • Comfortable and well-tolerated treatment
  • Can be used on all skin types
  • Contact Cooling for patient comfort

Recovery

SculpSure procedure involves practically no recovery period. Patients can feasibly have the treatment completely during their lunch hour from work, and simply return to their workplace immediately.

Awesome and poignant cosmetic surgeon Dr. Richards receives patients from Las Vegas, NV, and other communities and cities in this part of the nation for SculpSure body sculpting treatment and various other cosmetic procedures.

Laser skin resurfacing is a cutting edge skin rejuvenation technique that is ideally suited for people who want to avoid cosmetic surgery. Both ablative and non-ablative laser technologies are available to reverse the effects of aging, sun damage and other skin imperfections.

Ablative lasers involve the use of short bursts of high intensity light to remove the dead cells from the uppermost skin layers and restore smooth, supple and youthful looking skin. Non-ablative lasers, on the other hand, are less invasive and do not create wounds in the skin’s surface. The procedure is designed to stimulate collagen production in the deep dermis through controlled delivery of laser heat.

Dr. Bryson Richards is a noteworthy and committed board certified plastic surgeon providing laser skin resurfacing and other cosmetic procedures to patients in Las Vegas, NV, and surrounding locations.

Steps Involved in the Procedure

Following the pre-op consultation, once the patient is ready to receive the laser skin resurfacing treatment session, they will be seated in a comfortable in-office setting. Unlike plastic surgery, the procedure can be performed without the use of general anesthesia. The patient will have to wear special eye shields to protect the eyes from sharp laser beams.

The laser treatment expert will move a wand over the affected areas. Tiny pulses of high intensity light will be emitted from the laser device to create controlled damage to the topmost layers of the skin. Once a pre-determined level of resurfacing is achieved, the provider will allow the skin to heal and rejuvenate. While the patient can go back home soon after the treatment session, they should arrange for someone to drive them back home.

Other Procedural Aspects

The treatment session in case of laser skin resurfacing will usually last for about an hour, but sometimes it may take longer depending on the extent of surface area to be treated.

  • Mild medications will be administered to the patient to ensure their complete comfort during and after the procedure.
  • The procedure is most performed using only local anesthesia.
  • While the treatment session is in progress, the patient’s vital parameters may be monitored using instruments attached to the body.
  • Once the treatment is completed, the patient will be moved to a separate recovery area.
  • After a brief period of observation, the patient will be allowed to go back home.

Variations in Procedure

Depending on the unique needs of a patient, slight adjustments in the laser skin resurfacing procedure can be made. To create optimal results, the treatment will be performed at varying depths. Various devices that are typically used to perform the procedure may include:

Ablative Laser

This device is designed to cause uniform injury to the upper skin layer, similar to a chemical peel.

Non-ablative Laser

The heat generated with this gentle laser device will trigger collagen fiber production in the deep dermis without damaging the skin.

Fractional Laser

This innovative laser creates minimal surface injury but greater depth of injury for enhanced results.

Laser skin resurfacing is an ideal cosmetic surgery substitute for some people who want to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles and lines, acne scars, and irregular pigmentation.

However, some other people with certain skin type, skin tone, or health condition may be at a greater risk of complications, which may make them unsuitable for laser skin resurfacing.

A dedicated treatment provider will carefully assess the patient’s skin condition and other aspects to determine their candidacy for laser skin resurfacing. Board certified, terrific, and sagacious plastic surgeon Dr. Bryson Richards provides laser and various other surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures to patients in Las Vegas, NV, and surrounding locations.

Ideal Candidates

The ideal candidate for laser skin resurfacing would be an adult who wants to enhance skin appearance without involving plastic surgery. At the same time, the extent of their skin imperfections is such that they are not likely to respond well to gentler non-surgical treatments. The candidate would ideally have a fair amount of skin elasticity and non-oily skin that is not prone to scarring after limited or minor injury.

The candidate should ideally be free of any major underlying health conditions, and should not be taking any such prescription drugs that may interfere with the procedure or healing.

The goal is to minimize the risk of significant side effects during or after the procedure. People with lighter skin tones are preferable candidates than those with darker skin tones because the risk of permanent skin discoloration is minimized in their case.

A good candidate for laser skin resurfacing would have reasonable expectations from the results, and would be committed to following the provider’s recovery instructions such as protecting against sun exposure as long as required. The candidates should educate themselves about the benefits and limitations of laser skin resurfacing in order to appreciate the final outcomes and gain maximum satisfaction from the procedure.

Who is Not a Candidate?

If an individual only has very minor skin imperfections, they should preferably avoid a major non-surgical aesthetic procedure such as laser skin resurfacing. Gentler alternative cosmetic treatments are available for such candidates, and they may not require a more aggressive procedure to meet their skin care needs.

The risks, side effects and downtime involved in laser skin resurfacing are significant, which can be avoided in the case of candidates with minor skin concerns.

People with dark skin tone will also usually be considered unsuitable for laser skin resurfacing. The laser beams during the treatment are absorbed by the pigment in the targeted skin cell to cause their destruction. Any excess laser light may get absorbed by surrounding healthy skin cells, which can do more harm than good. In a candidate with dark skin, more pigment is present, which increases the risk of excess laser energy being absorbed.

Excessive absorption can lead to side effects such as skin discoloration and even blistering. Fractional laser and RF or IPL techniques may be more appropriate for such candidates. Dedicated cosmetic surgeon Dr. Richards receives patients from Las Vegas, NV, and other cities and areas across the horizon for laser skin resurfacing.
